Dr. Duffy has been in private Ophthalmology practice in Albany since 2004. He has extensive training in medical and surgical eye conditions, and specializes in cataract surgery.
Born and raised in the Republic of Ireland, Dr. Duffy studied Medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway, graduating with high honors. He moved to Albany in 1998. Dr. Duffy completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center before going on to complete residency training in his chosen field of Ophthalmology, also at Albany Medical Center. He has achieved dual board certification in both specialties.
He is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center, and has enjoyed teaching Ophthalmology residents comprehensive Ophthalmology and cataract surgery at Stratton VA in Albany for over 10 years. Dr. Duffy has proudly served as the New York State Police Ophthalmologist since 2002. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center.
Dr. Duffy lives in Albany with his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Whalen, and three children.
Dr. Lee has lived in the Capital Region for over 30 years. She attended Siena College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts. She then went on to complete her medical degree at Albany Medical College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, Junior AOA and a member of the Gold Humanism Honors Society. Upon completion of her ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center she joined Capital Ophthalmology where she enjoys caring for patients with a wide array of ophthalmic diagnoses.
Dr. Lee treats a wide variety of eye conditions including cataracts, diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye, eyelid pathology and corneal diseases.
In addition to her private practice, Dr Lee is an Assistant Program Director of Ophthalmology at the Albany Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology where she works closely with the residency program. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Women in Ophthalmology.
